About This Happy Warrior

Hi, I’m Rob, a life and performance coach.

In my professional life, I’ve worn many hats - infantry officer, humanitarian programme manager and director, battlefield historian and guide, and, running through it all, a life and performance coach. Away from work, I’m a son, dad and husband.

Across all these roles, I’ve coached, mentored and trained others to be their best selves and fulfil their true potential. After completing a final deployment with the Army in 2013, it felt like a natural transition to focus on coaching full-time.

More about my work

Alongside delivering coaching, I’ve benefitted from it myself. I’ve faced many challenges in my life, and have always been open to exploring ways to manage them and improve my situation. Because of this, I understand what brings people to coaching and have firsthand experience of the difference it can make. I genuinely enjoy helping others to close the gap, become the best version of themselves, find direction and take control of a better future.

All of this is underpinned by 42 years’ experience in supporting, leading, and developing people and teams through change and challenge.
Outside work, I stay active and curious. I love being outdoors and enjoy hiking, Spartan races, and bodyboarding. I’m also passionate about military history and learning languages. These hobbies keep me fit, challenge me, and give me perspective - qualities I bring into my coaching. Because I enjoy being outside, I offer outdoor coaching sessions that I’ve found highly effective for helping people reflect, focus, and move forward.
